Is it ok to put suave(conditioner and shampoo) or palmolive dish soap on cats?

I have used suave shampoo on my cat before and she is fine.I would suggest only using it if you have to..try getting cat shampoo next time you go to the store.Just keep it off their head..just wash the rest of their body and dont use a lot. And yes sometimes you do need to give them a bath if they shed a lot or have skin or fur problemsIs it ok to put suave(conditioner and shampoo) or palmolive dish soap on cats?
Yes it's okay to wash your kitty with human shampoo and conditioner, but dish washing liquid I'm not to sure about because it's so strong. Unless kitty has gotten into car grease somewhere I would fore go using Dawn or Palmolive, but shampoos like Suave or Baby shampoo, something like that should be okay. I give my kitty a bath in baby shampoo, and then follow up with conditioner. Make sure you rinse well because Kitty will lick herself dry and soap residue left on the fur might give her gas or a tummy ache, but nothing life threatening. On the norm though cats really hate water, and you risk getting severely scratched and bitten if you don't take precautions. Good Luck.Is it ok to put suave(conditioner and shampoo) or palmolive dish soap on cats?
I would use products designed for cats- not for dogs, because cats will ingest the residue when they clean themselves. However, if you're in a tight spot and you must clean your cat immediately, 2 human products that are 100% safe are Johnson's baby shampoo and Dawn dish detergent. Dawn is used to take oil off of seabirds and is good for tar or oily substances in the fur, and Johnson's you can use around the head without worrying about burning the eyes, so both are safe for your cat. Try to stock up on some kitty shampoo in case of another emergency. For weekly or monthly cleaning buy a cat dry shampoo powder, shake it into the coat, and brush it out.
Might I suggest CATS FOR DUMMIES

Why are you giving your cat a bath anyways?
I wouldn't. It can get in their eyes and really hurt them.

Cats should use unscented or tearless shampoo only because they lick themselves constantly and can get very very sick from ';eating'; the shampoo.

Go to a Pet Store and get shampoo made especially for cats.
Cat's skin is very sensitive. I would use baby shampoo or cat shampoo. You don't need to bath cats. They do a pretty good job of keeping clean.
You should not use anything but cat shampoo on your cat. Human shampoo and conditioner is not formulated for cats and can burn their eyes and damage their skin.

Palmolive is ok only if the cat gets into any grease or oily substance but should not be used otherwise because it is very drying to their skin.

Cats generally do not need baths. If it isn't filty or contaminated, let the cat do the cleaning.
I don't know about health wise, but if you don't use shampoo formulated for cats, it makes their coat dull. And since their fur isn't like human hair, it could get kinda sticky and hard to rinse out. Its probably not a good idea, since it could get in their eyes or they might lick it off.
I don't assume it would hurt the cat, but it might attack you if you tried to do so.
use animal shampoo suave may not have been animal tested!
It is best to use cat shampoo. I don't know what the others would do.
No! Cats clean themselves - I have never given my cat a bath she's clean as could be. You could really hurt your cat.
