Avoid exposing your hair to harsh sunlight, chlorine from swimming pool water and washing your hair in hot water.





When you go to the beach apply a sunscreen spray designed for hair or wear a hat made w/ sunblocking material.





Before swimming, rinse your hair w/ tap water %26amp; apply a thick conditioner. Dry, unprotected hair will absorb more chlorinated water. Wear a swim cap too.





Use a mild shampoo %26amp; deep conditioner. Rinse w/ warm or cool water. Avoid astringent or clarifying shampoos as much as possible. Otherwise, most shampoos are okay. i have coloered hair too. i use herbal essence color treatment, comes in like a red bottle, it makes my color vibrant and good looking, avoid any ';cleansing or hydrating'; shampoos they sometimes take ur color out
