Pregnancy and hair care(non sulfate shampoos)?

who here uses or has used non sulfate/organic shampoo's? I just bought my first non sulfate shampoo and conditioner at the Whole Food's Market today and I'm just curious as to how they work..if they're good. Since I have gotten pregnant my hair has been hell...it's curly and I heard that these types of shampoo's will help because they are all natural.Pregnancy and hair care(non sulfate shampoos)?
I have used a vegan shampoo before before pregnancy and it worked great but it was VERY expensive. all you can do is try it and see how it works. Everyones hair is different preg or not preg.. good luck

Do you know alot about shampooing and hair care?

Am I shampooing correctly?

I gently massage my scalp with shampoo %26amp; conditioner (in one) but not too hard because I think I might loose hair if I do...?...

Then I gently stroke my hair at the sides and back to wash the rest.

I get greasy hair after 2 days so I wash it every 2 days.

I ask because I don`t want to loose hair as I don`t want to wash it too often and get split ends, but I don`t want to loose hair by massaging wrong.

What do you think?Do you know alot about shampooing and hair care?
Do not feel bad about giving your scalp a good scrub. It stimulate blood flow to the hair follicle and promate healthier hair. You can't prevent spilt ends...it's inevitable. However, you can keep them under control with regular trims.

Start at the hairline and work your way to the nape of the neck. Apply enough pressure with the pads of your fingers or your nails...whatever feels best to you.

Professional products are always best as the don't buildup on the hair as fast and hey are formulated to build strength and elasticity within the hairshaft.

There are 2 important things to remember when you're conditioning....

1. Squeeze the excess water out of your hair before you apply the conditioner. Your hair is like a sponge. If you put a soaking wet sponge on water....it won't do anything because it's full of water. If your hair is full of water....the conditioner will go down the drain. If you put a damp sponge on water....it soaks the water up. The same thing happens with damp hair...the conditioner will go INTO the hairshaft.

2. Rinse the conditioner with lukewarm water. Luke warm to your hands...it will feel slightly cool on your head. If you use very hot water...you will open the cuticle layer and flush out all the conditiner you just put in...back down the drain. Luke warm water will rinse the excess off the outside of the hairshaft....but the inside will retain the what you put in.

Apply a thermal proctectant to the hair prior to blowdrying.

Finally finish with a moisturizing leave-in conditoner. This can be applied to wet or dry hair.

Some suggestions for product:

Loma

Hydrating Shampoo

Hydrating Conditoner

Pearitin Serum

Paul Brown Hawaii

Booster ( Thermal protectant)

You can check with a professional about other lines sold in salons. They can tell you what would be best for your hair.

The only way to get rid of split ends is to trim them.

If you're wanting healthier hair....then read the following..;)

Everyone's hair grows an average of an half an inch a month. If you wait more than 4-5 weeks to trim the split ends off....eventually they break off. When that happens you break off more than the half inch you grew.

However, if you trim the very ends every 4 weeks to prevent the breakage from occuring in the first place...you will keep most of that half inch you grow every month. Combine that with a salon shampoo and conditioner....and you can get 6 or more inches of healthy hair every year.

The biggest trick is finding that special hairdresser than will only trim the very tips. If you explain what you're doing...they should work with you of getting the length to where you want it. The other thing in growing your hair out is to always grow from style to style....not length to length. That way you're never going to be bored with your hair and be tempted to cut it off...;)

Always use professional products, they are formulated to not buildup on the hair as fast and to actually strengthen the hairshaft. There is no magic to getting long hair. You can try all the little concoctions people suggest....but the bottom line is you hair will grow from the root no matter what you do to the already grown hair. Once the hair has left the follicle...it's consider dead keratin protien. You just need to treat it right so it stays looking nice.Do you know alot about shampooing and hair care?
Sounds right to me.

I don't shampoo more than a couple times a week. Sometimes I use only conditioner or other times just water. I don't use styling products. My hair doesn't get nearly as shiny as when I wash more frequently, but I save money on shampoo and conditioner and I also lose less hair.

Oh, and I never blow dry.
As a hairdresser, when i shampoo a ladies hair, usually they only come in every week so i have to make sure it is clean, what i do is...

get the shampoo and massage over the hair so all the hair is covered in shampoo, and conditioner. then gently massage the top of your scalp in circular motions, pressing down on your scalp, as doing so stimulates the blood flow - giving the hair a quicker growth.

then go to the side burns- the hair by both sides of the ears, and rub vigorously for a few seconds.

afterwards, start on the back of the head and gently massage again pressing down on the head as to stimulate the blood flow again, then do the ends of your hair however you like, i find it helps, that if you have long hair, to place the hair between your hands and rub vigorously again. then wash out.

this should help your hair grow and keep it clean for more than two days.
if your hair tends to be a bit greasy after 2 days it's probably caused by the conditioner.. you should use it only for your tips not on the scalp. also make sure you are using the right kind of shampoo for your hair. it is better to use the proper shampoo followed by the proper conditioner for your hair texture. As for gentle scalp massage when you shampoo your hair, you're doing it the right way.

Should your hair is fine in texture and get tangled easily, I would suggest a leave-in treatment serum in order to minimize loosing hair when detangling
ive done some research on the net. washing every two days is good. try a separate shampoo and conditioner. as for your hair falling out, certain shampoos actually have chemicals that cause your hair to fall out with use over time. try all natural shampoos from a health store.
Firstly,, I Read In A Magazine That You Shouldnt Put Your Conditioner On M yMassaging It Into Your Scalp,, You Should Just Smooth It On From Your Roots To The Tips,

Secondly,, If You Keep Washing It Once Every Two Days You WIll Be Fine
Actually, yes - what you need to do is - once your hair is completely wet, - THEN massage your scalp. This will bring all the dirt to the top. Now you want to wash it. I wash mine twice every two-three days.

Next step? A Good Conditioner for YOUR hair type. Ex. - If your hair is fine, use a light one. Curly or damaged? Use a deep moisturing one - leave on two minutes then rinse.

You will not lose your hair this way, however, so don't worry about it. You could lose hair if you don't keep it in good shape - overcolouring, dry hair needs to be trimmed - even an inch - and moisturized.

If you keep getting greasy hair - I've had that experience - It's only because you have a build-up of that shampoo.

Just go to the store and buy one with an astringent - Neutrogena and Pantene both make 'Clean' shampoos. They are usually clear in colour. That problem will disappear immediately - trust me, I've been there! :-)

For those using male grooming products like shampoos, bodywash,Skin care etc.?

Guys when u go to the retail stores in US to buy the male groomig products. What do u look for, is it good brand name, Price, in store promotional offers etc.For those using male grooming products like shampoos, bodywash,Skin care etc.?
Mostly the price and the look. I actually tend to buy the more macho shampoo and body wash. All my products have the word, ';mountain air';, or ';evergreen';. Things that also say 24 hour is a good buy (mainly deodorant).

So I go by what they package it as.

Do people really care what is in the products they buy, like soaps and shampoos and makeup? ?

Please tell me if you would chose either generic or natural brands, why or why not. Do people really care what is in the products they buy, like soaps and shampoos and makeup? ?
No, I honestly don't care as long as it does the job.Do people really care what is in the products they buy, like soaps and shampoos and makeup? ?
I dont usually care about generic brands but when it comes to shampoos i usually buy them from salons because they have lower ph levels and dont dry out hair as much plus protect color treated hair better usually, i dont think it matters with make-up unless its super cheapy horrible quality or your skin has special needs .. i guess for soaps and everything the most important thing to look at is the ingredients and what works best for you whether its natural or cheap
What you have to pay attention to, (If you really care) is the price difference. if it is more then five dollars off the Brand name, it is probably no good, just vaguely compare the ingredient lists, you want a shampoo and conditioner with alot of vitamins, so be sure to make sure that is a key concern. I recommend Pantene.
for my hair it has HAS to be shampoo and conditioner by tresemme, hairspray tresssemme, and umm before i straighten my hair it has to be After party by bed head, and my light brown eye shadows have to be mac, and my dark grey and my white eye shadows, im a lil more leanyant but i prefer mac, for my foundations, and mascara and eyeliner, all has to be mac, my hair serum is a bedhead brand,....... and i use what i use because i like to look my best 24 /7

not really, my family is on a budget, and i discovered Suave which is cheap is has awesome scents. but ya it doesnt really matter
I agree with the 1st answer. If it works--and it is reasonably priced--I buy it.
I get makeup based on how it looks, not based on what is in it.

What shampoo should i use herbal essence breaks over, hello hydration, pantene smooth&silky,h&S sensitive care?

i have medium length hair im trying to grow it

its not thin and its not thick like it use to be

    its shedding alot and breaking

its normal but somtimes it gets dry and some times it gets oily and its dull and lifeless

i need to know which of these shampoo's will my hair benefit from the most and i don't like to use conditioner and i don't dye my hair

im also on a budget so i don't want to buy the expensive brands

my friend told me to use tresemme but if i don't use the conditioner it will dry out my hair and leave it tangled plus i read really bad reviews about tresemme so im not a big fan and im scared of using new products she also told me to try loreal elvive i did but then i stopped because i felt it was drying my hair and it was difficult to brush

the brands mentioned above in my question i used before but along time ago so i dont know which is the better brand

so please help me! i dont know which brand to buyWhat shampoo should i use herbal essence breaks over, hello hydration, pantene smooth%26amp;silky,h%26amp;S sensitive care?
I use Tresemme Natural and Tresemme Red Dye hair coloring, every bath I come out of my hair is soft. You may just need to change the style of how your washing your hair.

First, when you shampoo it you should make a coat out of it, not rub it in. Gently massage it, but don't rip your hair out rubbing it in! After that squeeze to end of roots and then wash off, head down in water, face up, running hands through your hair.

The next thing is to not rub in ANY conditioner, but make a coat, squeeze to ends of roots and then leave in. After that wash off gently head down in water face up, leaving just a little in. Leaving some conditioner in will help your hair soften.

Except for Tresemme I would go and get Hair Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner from Loreal. If all else fails, contact a hair dresser and she will be able to help you! What shampoo should i use herbal essence breaks over, hello hydration, pantene smooth%26amp;silky,h%26amp;S sensitive care?
Sounds like you have the same problems I'm having.

I use a hydrating shampoo and a deep conditioner. My stylist added a scalp moisturizer and that seems to have helped a lot with the breaking and shedding so you might want to consider adding that to your routine.

You should rethink the conditioner because conditioners add moisture and help with detangling.

When you deep condition your hair, after applying the conditioner (and apply LOTS of it), wrap your hair in a plastic bag and if you don't have a bonnet-type dryer, wrap your hair in a towel and sit for about 15-20 minutes. If you have a dryer, sit under medium-heat for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse your hair with cool water.

Try to avoid using blow dryers and curling irons on your hair - the heat is very damaging and drying.

When you comb your hair, use a wide tooth comb to detangle and start from the ends and work your way closer to your scalp.

hope i get answers by which my hair can get some improvements .How ot take care of our hair , what precautions to be taken and which shampoo to use with which conditioner ?
One of the best things you can do for your hair is make sure you have a healthy diet, eat fresh fruit and veg, and cut down on junk food, crisps, fizzy drinks etc, as these types of things affect everything, the way you look, health, etc.

Start taking multivitamins, again this will help all round.

If you want your hair very straight, try John Frieda's Frizz Ease serum - this stuff is amazing! You put a few drops on your hair when wet, then blow dry/style/straighten as usual, but it makes your hair poker straight. Just don't put it on your roots as it can make them look greasy, just apply it to the tips.

You can also get serum which seals split ends. You can get this at places like Boots, or hair salons, depending on how much you want to spend. One I use is by Avon:

    http://avonshop.co.uk/avonshop/default.a...

';Put an end to split ends. Glossy formula instantly smoothes, nourishes and hydrates dry, damaged ends. Contains sunscreen for added protection.';, only 拢4.50.

It sound slike you have quite similar hair to mine - I also straighten but when I am feeling lazy I use a sea salt spray on my hair - I blow dry my fringe straighht but leave the rest wet and spray the sea salt srpay on, it creates loose, chunky waves, like beach hair. Add a little serum too, for shine.

If you can't seem to get shiny hair naturally, buy a shine spray (John Frieda do a really good one for about 拢3) and buy a shampoo that creates shiny hair, Herbal Essences are the best I find, as they create high shine and make your hair feel really, really soft!

Good luck!!How ot take care of our hair , what precautions to be taken and which shampoo to use with which conditioner ?
Maybe start with using shampoo that does not contain sulfates which are bad for you and your hair. Avoid conditioners like Pantene and others that make your hair feel great immediately, but start to degrade it due to the silicones present. There are brands out there that respect these guidelines as well as homemade versions. Do a bit of internet research, looking out for sulfate and silicone free products.
well first of all, all heat %26amp;%26amp; dye is bad for your hair. the best shampoo and conditioner is main and tail. horse's hair is naturally rougher than our's, so their conditioner does more moisturizing than human shampoo. when you have split ends, the best thing to fix them is vitamin e. if you buy the gel capsuls and break them directly onto the split ends, it'll help them immediately. deep conditioning atleast once a week also helps a whole lot.
    mud is the best conditioner

    along with bird crap!!
wash ur hair once in every 3 days. oil ur hair atleast twice in a week. instead of conditioners use a mixture of one mug of water %26amp; half a lemon[nimbu]. apply this mix after u have shampooed ur hair %26amp; rinsed properly. once in two weeks apply a mixture of 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1 teaspoon of oil (preferably almond oil). keep it on ur hair for 20 mins %26amp; then wash off with a shampoo. once in a month, apply yoghurt to ur hair, keep it on for 20 minutes %26amp; wash off.

have u heard about the hot water towel?after oiling ur hair, cover ur hair with a towel dipped in hot water. remove the towel after 20 minutes.

also consume a balanced diet, drink lots of water, sleep for atleast 8 hours a day, exercise daily for about half an hour everyday.

sunsilk shampoo(yellow coloured one) followed by fructis conditioner.

Long hair care for a male.. how often to shampoo?

I am a 20 year old male with long naturally straight hair. If you need pictures please say and i'll post them and add to this. But my question is this, what is the best treatment for my hair, is there any particular shampoo/conditioners? And how often, every day, every other day? I hear all sorts of solutions but never know which ones are right to keep my hair on my head and healthy!

I like TRESemme silky and smooth for normal hair, both their shampoo and conditioner lines, are these good? And is there a problem with mixing and matching. E.G -- Fructis for shampoo, TRESemme for conditioner?Long hair care for a male.. how often to shampoo?
every other day is fine other wise it will get dry and mixing two different brands is fine , I would stay with what you like ... My b.f uses American Crew Citrus Mint it smells soooo good you buy you can buy it at a Salon Long hair care for a male.. how often to shampoo?
You should wash your hair daily, or every other day, no more or you will wash out natural oils. And there's no problem with mix and matching, I always do it with leftover shampoo/conditioner. However never put shampoo and conditioner that are designed to be put on separately, together.

EDIT: I use tresemme too, and I have for quite a while, yes it's good!

    p.s. you are hot!

    xxx
you should put up a picture, because i can see your hair type better that way.. my favorite thing to use for dry hair: use hello hydration. but then again, i don't know your hair type.

Why is it when people find out their soap & shampoo etc.. have toxic chemicals in them they don't care?

Because the world is full of toxic things, and it's easier to tell yourself it isn't real than to admit our body is full of toxic elsements. Why is it when people find out their soap %26amp; shampoo etc.. have toxic chemicals in them they don't care?
The important thing to remember here is that you can only give people information. What they do with it is up to them! Are you looking for products that dont contain harmful chemicals? If you are, I have about 300 or so! Email me back if you want! Why is it when people find out their soap %26amp; shampoo etc.. have toxic chemicals in them they don't care?
Toxic soap and shampoo ? People don't seem to care about other toxic issue like their food and the air the breathe . I think all you could do is avoid the things that you are concerned with ,and let the rest by in to the corporate advertising machine .
Because they're generally cheaper to produce and people buy what they can afford.
You can't see the effects of toxic substances on the exterior so that makes it easier to be nonchalant.

Also if these substances were so very toxic why are people living into their 80s when they are using them?

If something was really really bad for you I would expect to see a report on the news about it.

Mostly when people have told me something has toxic chemicals it's when they want me to buy something from them which is like 4 times the price of what I would normally pay.
Possibly because the substance never gets inside your body, and you wash it off within minutes.

How do I take care of my highlights? Like shampoos and all that. What should I do and what should I avoid?

Help me pleaseHow do I take care of my highlights? Like shampoos and all that. What should I do and what should I avoid?
Avoid exposing your hair to harsh sunlight, chlorine from swimming pool water and washing your hair in hot water.

When you go to the beach apply a sunscreen spray designed for hair or wear a hat made w/ sunblocking material.

Before swimming, rinse your hair w/ tap water %26amp; apply a thick conditioner. Dry, unprotected hair will absorb more chlorinated water. Wear a swim cap too.

Use a mild shampoo %26amp; deep conditioner. Rinse w/ warm or cool water. Avoid astringent or clarifying shampoos as much as possible. Otherwise, most shampoos are okay. The best deep conditioner is Clairol's Colorseal Conditioner. For product information: http://clairol.com/niceneasy/colorsealco鈥?/a>How do I take care of my highlights? Like shampoos and all that. You can buy special shampoos for certain hair colours

you should definitely get a conditioner that will nurish (sp)

Hair Care Help: What are the best shampoo and conditioners?

    Hey everyone! =]

I'm looking into getting a new shampoo/conditioner, and I want to know which is the best. I have previously used Enjoy, which is good but didn't quite satisfy me. My hair is naturally dark blonde, long, slightly wavy, and goes crazy in humidity. It is also slightly dry, and splits easily. I flat-iron daily to get that sleek, smooth look I love, but I'm afraid that it may be damaging my hair. If it matters, I'm 13.

I would love to get some information on the following brands/products, or if you know anything better I would love to hear that as well!

    ~Pantene Pro-v

~Garnier Fruticus (sp?) Sleek %26amp; Shine

~Bumble %26amp; bumble products (anything good?)

    ~Organix shampoo %26amp; conditioner

~Redken (don't know much about it, but anything good?)

    ~Aveda?

    ~Sunsilk (Which color for me?)

~Tresemme (don't know much about it)

And anything I forgot that's good! I'm very open and price doesn't matter as much as quality =)

    Bead Head

    Paul Mitchell

    Aveda

All very good products for your hair (maybe a little pricey but worth it).
It shoulds like your hair is getting some damage. I'd recommend Joico K-Pak or Brocato Cloud 9 shampoos, conditioners, and treatments. They help repair damage, and help prevent future damage. They will help strengthen your hair up with continued use. Once you think your hair is back to normal health, you can stop using those daily, and just use them a couple times a week. On the other days, you can use another good salon brand shampoo/conditioner for volume, shine, frizz treatment, or whatever.

It's also a good idea to invest in a flat ironing oil spray. They help protect your hair from heat damage. Most are designed to be sprayed on each individual section right before ironing. Joico and GHD both make good ones, along with many other salon brands.
okay~i use to use pantene and it made my hair gorgeous throughout highschool. but then i switched to biolage after babysitting for a beautiful hairstylist who had gorgeous hair and used it. now i wouldn't go back for anything! i use the hydratherapie line and conditioning balms every now and then. its a little pricey but if you go to jcpenney salon you can get card punches for every 10 dollars you spend to save money and they usually have sales like buy one get one. i have also used garnier fructis sleek and shine and i like it too, esp. the balm
MATRIX has one called sleek.look It is especially made for people that straighten their hair often. they have heat protector for when you use the Iron and good moisturizing conditioners for dry hair. their hairsprays have humidity control as well as hold. Good Luck..
All of the Aussie range are fab!

They have shampoos, conditioners %26amp; hair treatments for all hair types!

    They smell gorgeous too!

You can buy them from most drug stores %26amp; some supermarkets!

    hai!!

    1) if u dont have synus problem try the below remedy..

apply fresh squeezed lemonjuice all over ur scalp and hair(thouroughly).soak for 30 minutes and take a nice warm bath..ur dandruff will get drastcally reduced in 2 baths,..

2)if u have synus problem, then try soaking with franch oil for 30 miutes and take bath.massage all over ur scalp thouroughly.

this is also a gr88 rememdy..

    give them a try

    OR

u can use lemon juice or white vinegar these two methods are good

    Steps:

-Wash and condition your hair normally.

-If you have to use a hair dryer, lightly blow dry your hair, using a brush as you do it. In general it is best to avoid hot rollers, curling irons, or dryers as they will damage hair and make long hair less attractive over time.

-At night, put your hair in a pony tail and braid it, then roll it up into a bun and tie it up. (You do this so when you sleep you dont toss and turn and pull your hair out on your pillow!) If your hair is fine, skip this step and avoid elastic hair binders which will break the hair at the point where they are used. Hair under tension tends to break and you want your hair LONG!

-Consider an oil treatment (hot or regular) every week.

-If your hair isn't very dry, a good conditioner used with every wash will suffice.

-Wash your hair once every one and a half weeks (about every ten days) if your hair is kinky or nappy.

-Fine, straight hair will require washing every other day to look healthy. Use a non-drying shampoo and a good conditioner.

-If your hair is naturally dry do not wash it too often as it will strip your hair of it's natural oils, leaving it even drier.

    Extra Tips

-If you don't know how to do a hot oil treatment in your hair, ask for help and/or read directions.

-Don't put gel or hairspray with alcohol in your hair as it will have a drying effect.

-Make sure not to really put anything in it except shampoo and conditioner.

-Start this whole adventure with a professional hair cut first to give yourself the best possible starting point for long, healthy hair.

-For some people, it is possible that areas of your life such as diet, exercise, hours of sleep, and stress affect hair growth. Healthy habits will promote healthy hair!

-Regular haircuts, even while you are trying to grow it out, will keep the hair looking good and, more importantly, keep it healthy.

u can use lemon juice or white vinegar these two methods are good

A very good dandruff shampoo is Head and Shoulders. Do not wash your hair every day, or it will BECOME greasy. If you want longer hair fast, go for expensive extensions. They are worth the proce, and perhaps better if done professionally. If you want natural long hair, one tip is to massage your scalp while the shampoo is in( in the shower) Something I do, that may sound REALLY weird, is rinsing my hair with vinegar a few times a month. I keeps my hair very silky and healthy looking. If you want a change of hair-color, get you hair dyed professionally, and start using a color-protecting shampoo, with your Head and Shoulders conditioner.

What shampoo would you recommend best for caring for highlighted hair?

also, how often should you wash your hair, i wash mine everyday but ive noticed that i tends to go greasy quicker when i wash it so regularly.. what would you suggest? What shampoo would you recommend best for caring for highlighted hair?
    Shampoo: All Clear.

You can wash daily. What shampoo would you recommend best for caring for highlighted hair?
    Redken extreme
Maybe you should wash your hair less often. The wrong type of shampoo can cause your hair to go greasy. Shampoo and conditioner for highlighted hair should be used to help enhance colour.
vive by loreal. It works well on me. And it means to live in spanish! it is made for colored treated hair
Garnier G. But you must rinse your hair with olive oil massage it for at least half an hour and then apply the Shampoo. You will have great bounce absolute shine. Also, eat fish if you care more for your hair.
Loreal Color Vive for dry hair or Pantene for dry hair.

Wash everyday and switch shampoos everyday, also shampoo twice in one showering, then add conditioner mainly to the ends and when you rinse do not rince all the way out, if you have very dry ends, just rinse for a few seconds.

    If you dont like conditioners.

use Citre Shine Shine mist, on the ends it is the greatest for soft silky hair.
Hi the best hair product for highlighted hair i find is timotei for highlights it works brilliantly better than any other shampoo for blonde highlighted hair, i think your only supppose to wash your hair every other day as washing everyday can damage your hair. Hope this helps.

Hi does any one knows the formulas of products to take care of you car like; Armor-all, shampoo, degreaser?

Hi I wonder if you can help me, I am looking for someone who knows the formula to prepare cleaning products like Armor-all, shampoo to wash your car, degreaser, rain-x and products alike, or any web site, book or any kind of resource that I can check to get information about, I would appreciate any help, you can send an e-mail at raulps@latinmail.com or raulperez@yahoo.com thanks and GOD BLESS YOUHi does any one knows the formulas of products to take care of you car like; Armor-all, shampoo, degreaser?
    Yes,

I am a chemical formulator and have made all of these products. However, I do not know of too many people that would just give the formulas away. Most of these formulas take many hours of reverse engineering to figure out the raw materials required to manufacture the finished product. I would give you one but would need to sell the other formulas to cover my research.

You need an HPLC or GC to figure out the raw materials in each of these products.

What are some shampoos/conditioners,hair care products for African Americans that help grow long thicker hair?

As Ms.L said, Biotin is the secret. I take a multivitamin from GNC called Hair, Skin and Nails Formula which includes 3000mcg's of Biotin. You can buy a 60 day supply for about $19.00. On my hair I use Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Shampoo and Conditioner. Last but not least I keep other people out of my hair , I do my own hair. To show you that my process works, when my hair is in a ponytail, my ponytail is 18 inches long. I have two daughters and on their hair and scalp I use BB (Bronner Bros.) Super Gro Conditioner (Hair Grease). i hope this information is useful. :)What are some shampoos/conditioners,hair care products for African Americans that help grow long thicker hair?
Ovation Cell Therapy by Eqyss is really good for growing and thickening the hair. My friend used it for a thin spot that kept breaking and she noticed a major difference in two weeks. Its expensive but it works. Eqyss is a company that makes horse shampoos but they now have a line for humans and its good. It has a money back guarantee. Also walmart has a really good hair supplement. Its called biotin 3,000 mg. If taken regularly it will also speed up hair growth. What are some shampoos/conditioners,hair care products for African Americans that help grow long thicker hair?
I swear by Ojon ultra hydrating shampoo and conditioner and restorative hair treatment I'm not African American but it is highly recommended for African American hair and i can tell that with my experience it has made my dry curly frizzy unmanageable hair silky smooth and it the best condition it's ever been. It's a bit pricey but well worth it and it last forever a little goes a long way . so the price even outs.for the best price go to QVC.com heres a link to check it out
Well, my hair's naturally thick. But I use Pantene shampoo for relaxed, natural and color treated hair. Then I use Motions conditioner as well as motions oil sheen spray. Then after I flatiron it, I use some kemi oil and run it through my hair. A very small amount goes a long way. Just keeping your hair washed, trimmed with a good amount of oil will keep your hair from getting dry and breaking off.

What are the best hair care / skin care products - lotions shampoos etc?

I'm planning to get my girlfriend some hair care / skin care products for her birthday. I don't want just average stuff, I want the BEST -- the stuff that will make her feel like her hair is healthy and shiny etc. And the lotion that is good for her skin and all that.

Is there a certain brand that's excellent? it's ok if I have to order it, her Bday is a couple weeks away still.

ThanksWhat are the best hair care / skin care products - lotions shampoos etc?
I wouldn't give her skin care products because that would be kind of offensive to some people, (like getting proactive if she has some acne, etc)

nexxus probably makes the best products though =]

What hair care products (shampoos and conditioners) are good for treating bad split ends?

Try CHI (Cationic Hydration Interlink) by Farouk Systems. What hair care products (shampoos and conditioners) are good for treating bad split ends?
There isn't any product to treat split ends. However there products that help prevent split ends. Its good to cut 1/2 to an inch of split ends to stop them from climbing up the hair shaft. What hair care products (shampoos and conditioners) are good for treating bad split ends?
try useing redken brand I LOVE THEM THEY CAN CURE THOSE SPLIT ENDS OF URS.
Sunsilk TLC it works REALLY well, and it's cheap. it's the salmon/pink bottle
breaks over by herbal essances its great for split ends.
Well, if you want to get rid of them for good the best product is a pair of sharp scissors. See your local hairdresser!
my hair is pretty picky and it used to be that head and shoulders was the only thing that didn't dry it out. but i use fructis and it leaves my hair soft and has really made it stronger. so i suggest fructis, it should help. although cutting them off would work too. also try spraying in infusium's leave in conditioner after getting out of the shower and leaving it in. i don't like to brush my hair without it in because it helps with tangles and protects it from damage.

    hope that helped :)
PANTENE!!!! they have one for damaged hair.
of corse you should youse panteane and b%26amp;b and also a combonation of conditioner and shampoo
You can help prevent split ends, but once you have them you need to have a trim.
Well, there is no cure for split ends, other than cutting them off. If you are between cuts, you can use a smoothing shampoo and conditioner. These types of shampoos are supposed to straighten out the hair, so that the split ends do not make your hair look super dry. Use a conditioner also to aid in keeping your hair looking healthy until you can get the split ends cut.

Try something that says sleek, or smooth.
My wife says there are no products to treat split ends they've gotta be cut off.
You can't treat split-ends. That is the result of dry un-maintained hair.

First get yourself a good haircut and keep doing it every 6 - 8 weeks.

Second get a really good hydrating shampoo and conditioner.

I personally recommend L'oreal Professional Intense Repair.

It will cost you more but will last about 3x longer than the cheaper stuff from the supermarket.

    See your stylist.

';Best'; for one person is ';worst'; for another.

Read labels and get what is best for your purpose and hair thickness/oilyness, etc.

Apparently shampoos have the same ingredients with added ';fragrances'; for each brand.
pureology. you can pick it up at some salons and some targets have it. it is pricy ($25 just for the shampoo) but it is by far the best. it is 100% vegan (no animals products or by-products) and does wonders. its the only thing i use!
    sunsilk or pantene pro-v
    biolage...

    works wonders....

    and smells REALLY good.

    good luck.

I use Head and Shoulders. It really works!!!! : )

Sunsilk, pantene, and paul mitchell...all three of these products work really good but it also really depends on your hair type hope this helps :)
    i perfer aussie or dove
At the moment, I am using Sunsilk and Pantene Pro-V. ';Hairstylists recommend that you do not use the same hair products at all times, so that your scalp does not become overly adjusted to one.'; I usually alternate between these two products on a weekly basis.

I am also wondering what the best hair care products are. A lot of people say that Pantene Pro -V is bad for your hair and that it puts a layer of wax on your hair. Here is an interesting article about it :

    http://thebeautybrains.com/2008/04/03/is-pantene-putting-plastic-on-your-hair/?jal_no_js=true%26amp;poll_id=11

Good luck finding a product that you love !
    I love Herbal Essences
    GARNIER FRUITCS
sunsilk.. you can find one that fits your hair style

they have: shampoo for straight, curly, frizzy, flat, and poofy hair
    pantene.
    john frieda or herbal essences
well personally i think andrew collinge is so soft,,

i use andrew collingde shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair

and then i use the hair straightners (its like a smothing balm)

then i use his heat protective psray works a charm

What is the best shampoo/conditioner/hair care for damaged hair and split ends???

The best shampoo/ conditioner I believe is natural and chemical free it is found at the below website.

It seal, conditions, and cleanses the hair. It is recommended that keeping your hair chemical free it will make your hair stronger, healthier, and shiner. What is the best shampoo/conditioner/hair care for damaged hair and split ends???
i've used so many and i think that cheapo vo5 for split ends shampoo and conditioner are good. also i like to use awapui conditoner in addition to the split ends one with some hot oil like suave or queen helene. it helps make the hair healthier. along with avoiding heat styling except for once or twice a week. if your hair is hard to tame you can always put some vo5 detangle and shine in it the rest of the time and wrap it up at night. What is the best shampoo/conditioner/hair care for damaged hair and split ends???
you can get this at any saturdays or hair care place, its a tan bottle and its called Cashmere...kinda like a cashmere sweater, it does good. Do your self, your hair and your wallet a favor...DON';T but anything from a dept. store or anything like that. stay away from everything on those shelves regaurdless of what they say. No hairapy, no garniar nutrice, no dove, nothing like that. ALWAYS get things from hair supply places. EVERYTHING on the market right now has wax and a whole bunch of crap in it. its like your washing your hair with dish detergant and lotion...its bad.
I've been using BioInfusion's ';The Gentle One '; Shampoo with their leave- In conditioner and that's been working good for me. I blow dry and flat iron nearly everyday. I used to use Sunsilk until I realized it was breaking my hair. I have what stylists call normal thin hair so it looks like I have a lot of hair but I really don't. It isn't coarse and only needs medium heat to straighten.
i would try bumble and bumble rich conditioner, smells amazing and works wonders!
Apparently all of them according to their adverts.

  • Best shampoo and conditinor. and hair oils. how do i take care of my hair?

plz answear all my questions. and make the answears long and helpfull. im in a tight situation. i need better shinner hair help!Best shampoo and conditinor. and hair oils. how do i take care of my hair?
Treseme has vitamins for the hair to strenghthen it and it also prevents damages. Dont wash your hair twice a day, oils the your scalp produce is good for your hair.

    BLACK shampoo bottle.

WHITE conditionar bottle.Best shampoo and conditinor. and hair oils. how do i take care of my hair?
I swear by that new Sunsilk stuff. I use the frizz-easer one, but they have one for Hydration and shine. I would try that, they are very affordable. Just because its expensive doesn't always mean its the best.
    Sunsilk Hydra Tlc.
i reccommend an Aussie product. they dont stretch the truth and the stuffs really work! try Aussie Sydney Shine or Aussie Sun-touched Shine, AUssie Moist or Aussie Cleanse and Mend.

aussie sydney shine is for like frizzy hair and hair that like wont do what you want it to.

aussie sun-touched shine makes your hair shine to the make and makes your hair really really smooth.

aussie moist hydrates your hair and makes it really smooth and easy to do stuff with.

aussie cleanse and mend cleans roots and fixes broken ends, heals dry scalps and makes hair smooth.

try it! if they dont work, i used to use Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine, which is a really good product too.

oh, and also, try not to use like other hair products unless you really need it. dont use a hard brush use a soft one like the kind with the black rubber on the bottom. when you blow-dry, blowdry at a low-medium speed.
i recommend john frieda. it really gives hair a nice color! you can get it for blonde, brunette, and red hair. i personally do not like using ';For oily hair'; type specific shampoo, i think it leaves a gross residue on the hair.

shampoo every other day, dont pile your hair all on top as this leads to knots.

always brush your hair before its wet to avoid breaking your hair which can make it frizzy.

when conditioning, wring out and/or towel dry your hair. then, massage in the conditioner from the ends up. you may want to use sparingly on your scalp, depending on how oily your hair is.

let it stay in your hair for about 10 minutes. your hair is like a spung, and drying it a bit before applying conditioner helps your hair to soak in all those vitamins and minerals added to the conditioner.

you may want to shave or brush your teeth while waiting.

finally, rinse your hair. you might want to rinse it with cool water, this supposidly can help make your hair healthier, but i personally dont bother with it. towel dry your hair, and avoid blow-drying at all costs.

    =]

also, do not be tempted to use brands like Herbal Essense. they have acrylic in it to make it seem like your hair is healthy, but its very bad for long-term use. however, i love to use herbal essense conditioner on my skin because it makes it very soft!!
check the links below for natural homemade beauty tips to:-- Hot oil treatment recipes

I used to always use the same brand conditioner as I would shampoo, but lately I starting mixing it up. My hair is naturally kind of poofy and relatively thick, but my hair's been so much smoother after developing a routine that works for my hair.

Basically, almost any shampoo works since it's primary purpose is to clean your hair... get the cheapest and best smelling option for your hair type. The conditioner and serum are what make the magic happen. Pantene Pro-V and John Frieda both have amazing conditioners, and they're not horribly pricey. Personally, I use John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Conditioner and John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum. John Frieda also has conditioners for red-heads and blondes.

    Hope this helps!

Which is the best shampoo for hair and tell me something about how do i take care of my health?

my hair arent very thick and i live in a hot climate do tell me wht to use to make my hair betterWhich is the best shampoo for hair and tell me something about how do i take care of my health?
If you live in a hot climate, the shampoo is not as important as the conditioner. You should wash your hair every other day, but make sure to use conditioner. There are many good conditioners out there. Biolage is a great brand. They make conditioners for every hair type. You just have to read the bottle.Which is the best shampoo for hair and tell me something about how do i take care of my health?
my hair sucks too..but i really dont think the shampoo and conditioner can help it much, but i use pantene prov for died hair conditioner, and head and sholders, i dont have dandruff but it cleans the hair very good and garnea frutise XXL volume to style it..also if its in bad health i use hot oil treatments..
Shave your hair. At that point you won't need to throw money on expensive haircare when your hair is not good enough to show it in public.
I think I can relate to you because I also live in a hot climate, what I do is I refrain from using a lot of shampoo for my hair, because in a hot climate like ours, the tendency is that the water is also hot which can damage the hair so if you add up more chemicals, but what I do is that I tend to stock water in a big container and let it cool down, because never use hot water when bathing your hair, it will make it dry and brittle. second try to use shampoo evry other day or the less of it the betterm the hair needs condition, so better indulge in conditioner not in shampoos.. but if you were asking for products, i can say use shwvarskopf products. also you can use the pantene, sunsilk, loreal. my advice is try using different products and don't just stick into one. This is because some products contain ingredients that are not included in the other product and they say that when you switch and switch to different products, the more you will see the effects...

With regards to diet, the best way is drink a lot of water and exercise regularly, this reason the blood circulates properly and the oxygen is distibuted properly...
John Frieda shampoos are very good (if a little expensive), there are versions for blonds, brunettes and redheads, so one of these is bound to suit your hair. Also try rinsing off with cold water just before you get out of the shower (never use very hot water on our hair anyway) and don't use blow dryers, straighteners or any other hot hair thing without applying a protective spray first.
I don't recommend head and shoulders to be honest with you. I go to the salons and buy Redken shampoo. There's different kinds for different hair. I like the Redken All Soft. It costs a little more but you use alot less than the cheaper shampoos. My daughters both told me about it. What a difference it has made on my hair! Before my hair was always on the dry fly-away side, now it's soft and healthy and shiney all the time. Just ask the salon lady which one is right for your hair. My daughters and I all use the All Soft and we all have different hair.
use loreal elvive or dove these shampoos keep hair soft and shiny all day long.

What's the best shampoo/conditioner & hair care for short, thick, curly/wavy, dry damaged hair?

Yeah so the title is a mouth full. I used to have long hair till I made the mistake of cutting it short this past winter not remembering that I have thick, curly/wavy, dry, damage hair. I straighten my hair everyday since getting it chemically straighten at the salon is not an option as of now. I want my hair to be longer again and healthier. Is there any products out there that will help me grow my hair longer and healthier? What's the best shampoo/conditioner %26amp; hair care for short, thick, curly/wavy, dry damaged hair?
I am in a similar predicament as you. I personally use Pantene for dry/damaged hair because it makes my hair feel lighter and healthier. What's the best shampoo/conditioner %26amp; hair care for short, thick, curly/wavy, dry damaged hair?
my hair is EXACTLY like that. don't straighten it cuz it will just get more damaged. but i use herbal essences totally twisted shampoo and conditioner. it works really well. u can get it @ target or walgreens or whatever drugstore u live by.

Bed Head shampoo and conditioner. And I definitely second Biosilk! Silk Therapy is amazing.Does anyone know any great hair care products? like shampoo, serum, ect.?
I buy all my hair and skin care from the Health Food shop now because with some of the fancy expensive products you just dont realize how many chemicals are in them. I think you should get into this habit when your young because if you knew about the amount of chemicals you are absorbing into your skin through shampoos and cosmetics - you would freak. Your skin is the largest organ on your body - please look after yourself.

Im not a 'new age' type of person but I truly believe that natural brands are the best way to go!
Oganix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner.

I have very thick, frizzy, and curly hair, so I have needed a product that will not only make my hair softer and easier to manage but one that will keep my hair from splitting and becoming damaged from my flat iron. My Aunt recommended this product to me (She is a professional hair sylist) one day about a year ago. After using Organix for one week, my hair is soft, shiny, healthy, and super sily smooth. I'm never going back to Pantene Pro-V!
Biosilk. It's amazing and so soft, leaving your hair feeling perfect. It also, smells sooooooo good!

drugstore shampoos are not worth what they cost.

they strip your hair of essential oils leaving dry.

i suggest you use a shampoo bar. (shampoo in solid form)

they contain less chemicals and clean the hair without taking the oils out. this would save you money because you wouldn't need to condition the hair as much.Best shampoo you've ever used ? Hair care tips?

Use Vinegar after shampoo for hair care?

Yeah, it sounds strange, I'll just get to the point. Well, my father has long hair, and it looks amazing, and I've always had long hair, and when I was a child, it was very smooth, but over the years its gotten damaged, now, my dad says everyday after he uses shampoo, he rinses his hair, and adds a bit of white vinegar and massages it throughout the hair, he then rinses that. He says his hair becomes the softest int he world.

I'm going to try it, but I'm not sure it'll ruin the hair, or what. I once took advice from someone (not my dad) to put baby oil on my hair, and it stayed oily for over a month..

thanksUse Vinegar after shampoo for hair care?
Your hair and scalp naturally have an ';acid mantle'; which is destroyed by shampooing. Vinegar just restores this acidity. The thing is many men have better hair than women as they are kinder to it! No straighteners, hairspray, tongs etc. Try it but you may get better results with a good conditioner whic is also acidic and anti static!Use Vinegar after shampoo for hair care?
vinegar is basically used for removing dandruff(if u have) other wise there is no use of it

in my opinion massage aloevera onto your scalp(personal experience) it will be relaxing n cool(especially in summers) ur hair will be straightend and will bcum shiney

after massagin rinse ur hair thorouly

continue this for a month n u'll feel change.
No, that would be fine for your hair. My sister used to do that too when she had hair odor. It takes off the scum from the shampoos. Try it.
yup,i do it too and my hair really damaged..but not form it :)
When using the baby oil thing if the purpose was to use it to make it less oily, I think they might've meant a small amount of baby powder. It works when your hair gets really greasy and you don't have time to shower just then.

As for the vinegar.... I have no idea. I've heard of some people saying that they've used it but some say that it stripped their hair. I guess it all depends on the hair type.

One thing you might try for damaged hair is to wash it with either beer or tide on occasion and find the right shampoo and products. (Aussie Moist works best for me...I had damaged hair too) I know it sounds really out there, but my mom does it and she was like you. She had beautiful long hair, but now it looks damaged and fried. So about once every 4-6 months she'll wash her hair with beer or tide. If you use tide make it more of once every year. Tide strips all the gunk from the shampoos and what-nots out of your hair. So be careful not to use too much bc you can risk stripping all the nutrients out of your hair. (I guess the same is for the vinegar)

Hair care question: Shampoo for colored hair..?

What's your favorite brand of shampoo for colored hair?

I'm dying my hair, yet again, tomorrow, and I want to use a good shampoo that will help protect the color

-my hair's gonna be dark brown and may have some color in it, like blue, but I haven't decided yet.Hair care question: Shampoo for colored hair..?
    Aftercare:

To make Manic Panic last longer, rinse your hair in vinegar immediately after dyeing. This raises the PH level of the hair color.

Another trick is to add two tablespoons (more or less depending on your hair length) of Manic Panic hair color to your regular conditioner after each shampoo. Leave it on three to five minutes and rinse it with warm water. This replenishes the color that was washed out.

Condition after every shampoo! Use a conditioner for damaged or color-treated hair. I use Aussie Three Minute Miracle Reconstructor. If you treat your hair well, it can be healthier than someone's which has never been dyed.

You can touch up roots on chemically dyed or bleached hair every two to six weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. To touch up Manic Panic, which eventually washes out, you need to bleach the roots first.

If you really screw up (you tried to dye your hair blond and it came out orange, or something) go to a professional to fix it. Re-bleaching and so on can really mess up your hair. Don't leave it to chance unless you want to risk going bald.

Avoid bleaching chemical dyed hair. That's a double whammy of unhealthy treatment for your lovely locks. Wait for it to grow out, or use a semi-permanent color in the first place.Hair care question: Shampoo for colored hair..?

    2. Rinse hair with warm water. Warm 1 tablespoon of oil treatment in the palms of your hands. Using your fingertips (not nails), gently massage the oil into the scalp in a circular motion. Repeat until the entire scalp has been massaged. Rub the ends of your hair with the remaining oil.

Rabbit care can you tell me how is it best to wash a rabbit what shampoo?

Don鈥檛 listen to any of theses people telling you it can kill them because they are no different then a dog or cat. You buy rabbit shampoo or simply use a baby shampoo and baby conditioner, tear free so you don鈥檛 hurt their eyes. You stick him or her in the kitchen sink; its smaller so he or she cant move around so much, then you wash away just like you would your own hair, and always remember to use conditioner after it makes then soft and smell really good.Rabbit care can you tell me how is it best to wash a rabbit what shampoo?
Go to the pet shop and ask the people if they have any shampoo for rabbits there i dont remember wat it is called its a pink bottle with a rabbit on it so yes you could shampoo your rabbit on;ly rabbit proof shampoo is okayRabbit care can you tell me how is it best to wash a rabbit what shampoo?
    dog shampoo all the way
    DO NOT DO IT

It destroys the protection on its coat

    Dry bath only
While rabbits in general have good cleaning habbits and are clean animals, they may occassionally need a bath. They are not necessary unless your rabbit is soiled or if your vet reccomended it for some other reason. There are several ways to bathe rabbits; here are a few:

First, set up your supplies. Next, get your rabbit. (This step is probably the most important!) You may want to clip your rabbit's claws first so that he doesn't scratch you. Use rabbit shampoo or a few drops of baby shampoo. Rub it into the fur. Pour water gently over the rabbit (avoid getting it in the ears). Rinse her until all of the shampoo is out. Rub the rabbit with a towel to get him dry. You can use a hair drier as long as you keep it on the lowest setting.

Rinsing the rabbit thoroughly is a very important step in cleaning a rabbit. If soap sits on the skin or coat, it may cause irritation and possibly kill the rabbit. You must also rinse to make sure that residue gets out.

Another method to bathe a rabbit is to use baby wipes or oatmeal wipes. Just wipe off the bunny!

Dry shampoo also works well. If Bunny licks it off of himself, he won't get sick!
Don't wash your rabbit with water and shampoo. This is never good. Rabbits clean themselves and stay pretty clean. If you do need to wash your rabbit for whatever reason, try using a slightly damp washcloth.
Don't It can make them very sick I have two rabbits They pretty well keep there selves clean.
Don't wash your rabbit with shampoo. Anyone telling you to wash your rabbit with shampoo doesn't know much about rabbits. Most pet stores know very little about rabbits also. It won't kill them unless they contract pneumonia from it, but never-the-less, washing your rabbit is not good for it. If you want to work on the rabbit's fur here are some tips:

Place the rabbit on a carpet pad and brush out the loose fur by running slightly wet hands over the fur. The loose hair will stick to your hands and the carpet pad. Rub your hands together over a waste basket to remove the fur from your hands. Brush for about 3 minutes.

To remove a stain in the rabbit's fur, rub the stained area with a lightly damp rag soaked in white vinegar, then with a lightly damp rag soaked in water, then dry. Repeat the process until the stain is removed.

Have been raising and showing rabbits professionally on a national level for 24 years. I've explained the process in a little more detail on some other answers. This is the abbreviated version. Feel free to ask me other rabbit questions if you have them.
You never wash a rabbit with shampoo, they can pretty much groom themselves, if they do need cleaning use a damp rag. I have two, by the way.
I think you should call your Pet Doctor and ask that question, I have heard that you can kill your bunny by getting them wet . I'm sure the shampoo is a bad idea!
Go to www.rabbit.org That seems to be a very informative site regarding everything rabbit-related
TO ADD TO THE OTHER ANSWERS ......... NEVER WASH A RABBIT WITH SHAMPOO........they groom themselves.
Don't wash your rabbit. Instead use a brush and just brush its fur. Rabbits don't like water. It wont kill your rabbit but they are like cats and pretty much keep them self clean. If your rabbit is really dirty so much that it is noticeable, you need to do something about the living quarters. Make sure it has a clean litter box (if inside) if it is outside check and see if it has diarrhea. If that is the case limit the amount of treats your giving it and the problem should clear up in a few days. It is very important that your rabbit always has fresh water.

i doubt you are gonna get answers because this question is in the wrong section

Even after bathing our dog stinks. Is there a shampoo or something to take care of the ';dog smell';?

Go to Wal-Mart and get some odor-ban this stuff will not harm your dog, and has a great smell. I raise pits and rottweilers and they love to catch skunks. This odor-ban will even remove the smell of a skunk. Surely your dog doesn't smell as bad as a skunk.lol.Even after bathing our dog stinks. Is there a shampoo or something to take care of the ';dog smell';?
A dog should not stink, unless it rolls around in something that makes it stink.A constant bad smell from your dog means you need to see a vet. Some of the possible causes. If it's coming from the ears,it could mean an ear infection. From it's rear end, could mean it's a n a l glands need to be expressed.Poor quality foods can also cause a dog to stink.Even after bathing our dog stinks. Is there a shampoo or something to take care of the ';dog smell';?
you can use a baking soda brand of shampoo for dogs plus buy a conditioner. In between baths get a pet cologne to put on it. If it smells like skunk use baking soda, peroxcide and dish soap that should take the smell out
Human shampoo is not PH balanced for your dog's skin care needs. What kind of shampoo are you using? How often do you bathe your dog? I use a brand of dog shampoo called ';Near and Dear'; that smells awesome. I find it at any K-9 supply store, PetsMart, and Pet Supplies Plus. HOWEVER, the smell could be something like an infection (parvo makes dogs smell bad, or a skin infection may be to blame). If it's nothing medical, use Near and Dear.
brush your dog regularly to minimize the smell in between baths.
use your normal stuff then you use a small ammount of your own conditioner

Do you use organic personal health and beauty products (shampoo, body wash, skin care)?

Yes. I don't check for the organic seal, but I do use natural and non toxic beauty products. I also avoid Sodium Laurel Sulfate, which technically is natural, derived from palm, but it not good for the skin and is responsible for rain forest destruction.

I use the skin deep cosmetics data base to research which known and suspected hazards are in various products.Do you use organic personal health and beauty products (shampoo, body wash, skin care)?
Yes, but I don't use commercial products that are ';organic'; but still have a million crazy ingredients that I can't pronounce. Organic certification for body products is not the same as food- I don't think it means anything at all if a body product says it's ';organic';.

However, I try to use simple products and I use very few. I don't wear makeup, and I use mostly castile soap, shea butter, baking soda, etc...things I wouldn't be afraid to eat.Do you use organic personal health and beauty products (shampoo, body wash, skin care)?
Yes, I actually do. I have read on Project Weight Loss about a green diet that I intend to follow. Going green is a trend that is gaining popularity. Many people think it鈥檚 expensive to live green, but that鈥檚 not true. If you think about it, going green is all about healthy lifestyle, leading to healthy environment. A healthy life means less money spent on medicines and a healthy environment means less money spent to be healthy.
More and more people are becoming aware of the harmful ingredients they have in cosmetics and skin care products nowadays. It is always a good idea to use all natural brands like Janika
